English Cinema Club
Opportunity of watching films cannot surprise anyone, and there is not only one cinema club in Kyiv… But our cinema club is unique! And we will explain you why.
Our English Cinema Club displays films in English. And it is created for those who want and can know and understand the most popular international language. And in addition to perceive a major part of world cinematography treasures in the original language. We display the films you cannot watch in the national cinemas, buy on DVD in shops or take from your friends. It is a world classic and a progressive movie. We do not limit the genres: there are melodramas, comedies, detective stories, thrillers, fantasies, family films and art-house in the programme. Films in English are a great help to English learners.
We have one “competitive” advantage more – the films at our club are presented by a competent person, a good company and often a native speaker. As the discussion of the film is a part and parcel of our club work – you can always make out the artful design of the plot and subtlety of dialogues if you were not able to grasp the meaning, learn more about the history of film making, hero prototypes, and all off-screen secrets which every film possesses. And just simply share your thoughts and feelings, discuss with the club members the things observed. By the way, the club is open not only to the “Oxford Klass” students but also to all comers.
The discussion of the films takes place in a cozy club-café of the “Master Klass” centre, where you can have a cup of coffee or tea and listen to a pleasant live music.
