“Alice’s Journey” to Wonderland

9 March 2010

The world has been flooded with a fresh wave of “alicemania” – Tim Burton’s new film, based on Lewis Carroll’s fairy-tale, will soon be premiered and the members of the studio “Theatre for Everybody” decided to keep with this trend and presented their own version of “Alice in Wonderland”. The people who came to “Master Klass” on Saturday 6th March, witnessed “Alice’s Journey” – a performance the uniqueness of which lay in the fact that its decorative design and many other elements had been created and made by the actors themselves, who were all children between 6 and 10 years old.

The young actors presented their own understanding of Lewis Carroll’s fairy-tale by way of uniting their imagination and thoughts about a fairy world with the plotlines of “Alice”. Thus, they demonstrated an unusual and fresh view of this classic book.
The performance ended with an improvised shadow show.
