Children Camp with Master Klass: Summer of Talents

Why are there so many talents among children and so many adults lacking talent? If you have already thought about this paradox and wish to do everything to help your children demonstrate their abilities and not be stifled by the school’s “you have to”, “you must”, “immediately”, Master Klass offers a creative and lively summer holiday programme for young talents.

We all want our children to have a good rest in summer, become physically stronger and learn something new. And if your child is planning to spend at least part of their holidays in Kyiv, you will be able to expose them to a great world of unforgettable impressions and experience not to be found either at the seaside, or in the country or at their granny’s.

We are sure your children have never had such an interesting and lively summer!

Getting to work together!

This year summer holidays will be special as the holiday programme will be drawn up by all Master Klass clubs and workshops: Cinemaclub, Art Klass, Music and Theatre Workshop, Computer Workshop ITdo not for adults, along with the Language School Oxford Klass and the Centre of Early Development O’Keshkin Club.

Every shift in the camp will last for at least two weeks during which children will work together making their own creative projects, and every time it will be something new. One shift will be busy staging a real musical with an author’s plot, dancing and decorating. The other shift will be involved in shooting short films based on the adventures of camp members, school sketching and other stories. It is also planned to organize a street theatre with carnival processions along Kyiv streets, and other exciting tasks which can be performed together. Every such creation will have an interesting script, music and dances, costumes and decorations. The process will be guided by professionals, although creative ideas will be completely in children’s hands.

A little bit from me and a little bit from you!

Children creative team will consist of several study groups. One group will work on the staging script, edit song lyrics, work on dramaturgy and make up unexpected twists of the plot. As part of the text will be written in English, the Language school Oxford Klass will be involved in the game as its teacher can introduce grammar, phonetics and syntax as the most interesting aspects of the language. Meanwhile, the other group will be learning songs and music to plays or films, whereas young artists will be getting decorations and costumes ready. At the Cinemaclub children will study production and staging, acquire practical skills of film shooting and get acquainted with the rules of video montage. Theatre Workshop teachers will help them improve their drama skills, diction and plastic arts, and tell about the laws of dramaturgy. The Computer School “ITdo” will provide the process with technical support and promote it on the Internet.

All the camp members will also spend lots of time outside Master Klass. The programme includes trips to film sets, studios, galleries and museums, excursions, meetings with interesting people, games in the open air.

Classes will be held from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. The cost of a camping shift (2 weeks): 3500 UAH. Dinner and lunch are included in the cost.

Discover yourself!

The main idea of the camp is to give each member opportunities to try themselves in different roles and, maybe, find new and unrealised abilities and talents they and their parents might never have even thought of. Having spent holidays in such a camp, your child may become interested in the occupations which they will choose as their future professions.

A play or a film will be the result of cooperative work of children and will be judged by people. Parents and friends of children, journalists and eminent people from the world of show business will be invited to join the opening night.
